The Student Services department is a large, multi-disciplinary team that plays a vital role in supporting students. The Student Advice and Immigration team provides advice on various topics such as Student Finance, UWL’s internal Scholarships and Bursaries, and Student visa and immigration matters for international students. The team is known for being hard-working, sociable, and supportive, creating an outstanding student experience. The post holder will be responsible for handling casework, providing support and guidance to students and staff on practical advice issues including immigration, fee region assessment, and Student visa regulations. The role also involves contributing to a professional and specialized advice and guidance service for all students, encouraging their academic progress and retention. Flexibility in working hours is required, including weekends and evenings, as well as the ability to work across the main campuses in Ealing and Brentford. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join the Student Advice team in this permanent position. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized. They should have excellent interpersonal, communication, advocacy, and customer service skills, along with proven experience in handling cases and the ability to work closely with students and staff. Previous experience in higher education is essential, as well as extensive knowledge of UK Student immigration. Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 21st August 2023.
