We have an exciting new role available in our department to provide dedicated support to our international student cohort. The main responsibilities include ensuring that international students feel welcome at the University and in the city of Plymouth, designing and implementing events and initiatives to foster a sense of community and belonging, and contributing to the planning of welcome and arrivals for new academic years. In addition, you will manage the International Student Experience and Welcome Coordinator. As part of the role, you will chair the International Student Experience Group, facilitating discussions on emerging themes, challenges, and opportunities for our international students. You will also collaborate with colleagues from across the University to deliver initiatives and events, drawing on the skills and expertise within the institution. While previous experience in higher education is not necessary, a good understanding of student support needs and equality, diversity, and inclusion is preferred. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. Strong organizational and workload management skills are essential, as the role can be demanding and requires adaptability and flexibility.
