About the role The Placement Support Officer provides university-wide support for the governance, administration, and effective operation of student placement systems and processes. The position coordinates placement documentation, compliance administration, system access, user management, and communication resources across key platforms, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuity across Schools. The position reports to the Manager, Experiential Learning and Industry Engagement. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and standardise placement documentation, communication templates, and resource libraries to ensure consistency and compliance across Schools. Manage document change requests, approvals, and version control processes for placement-related resources. Provide operational and administrative support for university-wide placement management systems and processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with the implementation of placement system and process changes. Coordinate placement administration activities, including semester transitions, and act as a central contact for escalated system issues. Monitor and maintain compliance governance within placement systems, supporting Schools to manage student placement compliance requirements. Administer user onboarding, registration, access, and support for placement-related systems, including Okta and SONIA. Manage SONIA user accounts, role-based access controls, system updates, and ongoing maintenance in accordance with university policies and governance frameworks. Qualifications, skills & experience Relevant degree qualification with administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in administrative, systems support, or operational roles within a complex organisation, preferably in higher education or placement-based environments. Strong organisational, time management, and record-keeping skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using enterprise systems, databases, or university platforms. Sound understanding of governance, compliance, documentation control, and quality assurance processes. Experience
