Reference: 1644825 About the Role: Work Integrated Learning (WIL) provides students with practical, real world learning experiences, designed to enhance graduate readiness and employability. In this role, you will help support the Faculty of Business and Law’s WIL activities, managing the day-to-day operations of clinical and professional learning placement programs, ensuring these programs run smoothly and meet student and host needs. Working closely with students, academic leads, and program coordinators, you will support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with external professional, community and industry partners, building partnerships with reputable businesses and organisations, ensuring students are provided with meaningful practice-based and work-integrated learning experiences during their studies. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate and support clinical and professional learning placements for students within the Faculty of Business and Law’s Industry and Community Hub. Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with industry, community and professional partners to support a sustainable pipeline of high-quality student placement opportunities. Promote the Industry and Community Hub and its placement programs through Curtin events, networking opportunities, social media and external activities such as careers expos. Build new host relationships and support a smooth, positive work-integrated learning placement experience for students, hosts and academic stakeholders. Research student placement demand and identify suitable businesses and organisations to approach for work-integrated learning and clinical program opportunities. Follow up new leads and build productive partnerships that encourage organisations to host Curtin students. Work with host organisations, discipline leads, course coordinators and major leads to develop internship and placement roles that provide valuable, credit-bearing student learning experiences. Undertake due diligence activities, including health and safety site visits, to ensure host organisations and placement environments meet relevant requirements. Ensure required legal, compliance and placement documentation is completed and maintained. Provide ongoing support to students and hosts during placements, including milestone check-ins and escalation of issues when required. Plan and coordinate induction seminars, including engaging stakeholders to deliver sessions or facilitate student visits. Monitor service quality through client interactions and post-placement feedback, using insights to support continuous improvement. Work closely with the Academic Lead, Industry and Community Hub, to support initiatives and strategic objectives that contribute to the Hub’s vision. You may also be asked to undertake other reasonable duties that align with the scope and responsibilities of the role. Who we are looking for: To be successful in the role, you will have previous work experience in or exposure to WIL environments, graduate programs business development and recruitment principles. You will also have a strong, demonstrable sense of what skills and attributes industry wants and needs for their workforce now and into the future.
