OVERVIEW The Wellbeing Officer at Kardinia International College is a part-time, fixed-term position supporting student wellbeing within a large, independent Kโ€“12 school community in regional Victoria. Based in the Collegeโ€™s Wellbeing Hub, the role focuses on counselling and preventative wellbeing support for students in Years 6 to 12. This is a leave replacement role running until the end of 2026, with work undertaken during school terms across two full days per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Promote and support the wellbeing of members of the College community – Provide counselling to students in Years 6 to 12 – Assist in developing strategies for students identified as being at risk – Facilitate group wellbeing sessions – Work as part of a multidisciplinary wellbeing team within the Wellbeing Hub – Adhere to the Collegeโ€™s Child Safe Policy and practices REQUIREMENTS – Qualification in psychology, allied health, or counselling – Experience working with children and adolescents in a counselling role – Knowledge of wellbeing policies and relevant legislative requirements – Team-oriented approach to wellbeing issues and outcomes – Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) – Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student wellbeing is increasingly recognised as central to educational engagement, retention, and long-term success.
