OVERVIEW The Timetable and Teaching Services Officer at UNSW College supports the effective delivery of teaching operations across pathway and higher education programs. Based in Kensington, Sydney, this part-time, fixed-term role works closely with academic and education teams to coordinate schedules, staffing, and teaching services. The position operates on a hybrid model and plays a central role in ensuring a smooth teaching and learning experience for staff and students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Allocate academic staff to classes based on approved availability and eligibility – Coordinate emergency teaching cover and manage timetable changes during teaching periods – Maintain accurate scheduling, staffing, and teaching services data – Support onboarding processes for new academic staff – Assist with pay forms, teaching hour verification, and casual staff timesheet processing – Assist with room bookings and timetable adjustments to minimise scheduling conflicts REQUIREMENTS – Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in administration, scheduling, or education operations – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines – Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability – Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships – Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment – High level of competency in Microsoft Office and information systems – Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – Experience in timetabling, staff scheduling, or teaching operations – Experience working within higher education or a commercial education environment – Experience supporting international students or English language programs WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Effective timetabling and teaching coordination are essential to delivering a high-quality academic experience, particularly in pathway and international education settings.
