OVERVIEW The Development Lead Student Advising role at CQUniversity is a senior leadership position within the Students Directorate, focused on strengthening student success through high-quality advising practice. This continuing, full-time role is based in Australia and can be located across multiple CQUniversity campuses, including Sydney. The position plays a central role in shaping a consistent, evidence-based advising model that supports students across the entire lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Design and implement advising frameworks, tools, and capability initiatives that support personalised, evidence-based student advising across the student lifecycle. – Shape and embed a consistent, high-quality student advising model across CQUniversity. – Analyse advising data and student insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. – Lead and support strategic programs and initiatives that improve student retention, engagement, and outcomes. – Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed best practice advising and strengthen the student success ecosystem. – Support and contribute to large-scale change initiatives within a complex organisational environment. – Lead projects and deliver high-quality outcomes while managing competing priorities. REQUIREMENTS – Demonstrated experience designing and implementing student advising, student support, or student success frameworks in a complex organisation. – Proven ability to analyse data and insights to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement. – Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence practice across diverse teams. – Experience developing capability uplift initiatives, including training programs, professional learning activities, or resource development. – High-level organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes. – Full working rights in Australia, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
