Position Type: 3 year fixed term 12.75% superannuation Are you a visionary leader passionate about bridging the gap between the classroom and the real world? Our College is seeking a dynamic Head of Global Partnerships and Service Learning to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is not a traditional “trips and tours” role. We are looking for a strategic architect to design and implement a P-12 framework that builds personal capacity through service, experiential learning, and authentic global engagement. Reporting directly to the Principal, you will be a key driver in ensuring our students move confidently into their futures with a deep sense of purpose and social responsibility. The Role: As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic oversight for the College’s global and experiential initiatives – but this is far from a “desk-only” role. We are looking for a leader who balances high-level vision with a hands-on. You will lead a dedicated tem from the front, remaining deeply involved in the operational delivery of programs to ensure exceptional educational outcomes. Ke responsibilities include: Strategic & Operational Leadership: Contributing to college-wide decision-making while remaining active in the day-to-day coordination of the Student Engagement, Programs, and Connections teams. Pedagogical Innovation: Leading the practical transition from traditional “voluntourism” toward a sustainable, reciprocal “Service in Action” model through direct mentorship and program redesign. Active Oversight of Immersions: Maintaining a visible presence in our programs by overseeing – and where necessary, participating in – interstate and international tours, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and student-led social justice projects. Reconciliation in Action: Working closely with First Nations Liaison Officers to ensure the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is lived out through practical, meaningful implementation. End-to-End Operational Excellence: Managing the “nuts and bolts” of complex budgets, conducting boots-on-the-ground due diligence for international NGOs, and taking the lead on 24/7 emergency response and risk management protocols. What You’ll Bring: You are a forward-thinking educator who understands that the most profound learning happens beyond the classroom- and you aren’t afraid to be out there in the field to make it happen. You possess the executive presence to inspire a team and the operational “grit” to manage complex international logistics and high-risk safety protocols personally. Core Competencies & Qualities Active Leader: A proven ability to lead staff through pedagogical shifts while remaining “on the tools” to model new ways of working and manage diverse stakeholder relationships. Strategic & Practical Thinker: The ability to integrate high-level experiential programs with the P-12 academic curriculum, ensuring vision translates into reality. Decisive Crisis Manager: High-level composure and hands-on judgment under pressure, serving as the primary 24/7 “Home Contact” for field groups in emergency situations. Culturally Immersed: Deep respect and practical skill in working alongside First Nations communities and international partners to ensure reciprocal engagement. Meticulous & Diligent: A rigorous, “no-stone-unturned” approach to risk management, auditing third-party providers, and ensuring absolute Child Safety compliance. Inherent Traits: You are emotionally intelligent, a resourceful “doer” who hits goals, a visible role model for
