Southern Cross Postgraduate Association (SCPA) provides representation and direct services to some 7,000 postgraduate and honours students enroled at Southern Cross University (SCU). These include both course work and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students, enroled both internally and online, and including a very large cohort of international students. SCPA is an independent incorporated association, managed by an honorary management committee of postgraduate students, and supported by four part-time professional staff in a collaborative and supportive team environment. SCPA has offices on each of SCU’s Lismore, Gold Coast and Coffs Harbour campuses. The Project Officer (Gold Coast) will be responsible for managing and supporting the operations of the association’s Gold Coast campus office. In addition, this role will contribute to our wider capability in engaging our significant cohort of international postgraduate students. This position would be particularly well-suited to a creative and sociable current or former postgraduate student or staff member at SCU, who can bring a wide range of both practical and creative skills, including office management, events organisation, tech-savviness and an understanding of community development.
