OVERVIEW Polytechnic Institute Australia (PIA) is seeking two full-time Marketing Officers to support international student recruitment in the Indonesia and Kenya markets. Based at the Melbourne campus and reporting to the Deputy COO, the role focuses on student recruitment, marketing support, agent engagement, and event coordination. PIA is a TEQSA-accredited higher education provider with campuses in Melbourne CBD, Geelong, Parramatta, and Sydney CBD, and delivers courses to international students through CRICOS registration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Respond to and manage prospective student enquiries, both offshore and onshore – Assist with processing student applications and maintaining accurate records – Provide basic advice to students on courses, accommodation, and services – Assist in developing and distributing brochures, banners, website updates, and digital content – Support social media management and other digital marketing activities – Contribute to the implementation of student recruitment campaigns – Maintain and update the education agent database – Provide administrative support for agent onboarding and orientation – Assist in coordinating partnership activities with agents and education providers – Support the organisation of student engagement activities, exhibitions, and promotional events – Provide logistical and promotional support for education fairs and functions, including offshore activities if required – Contribute to market research to identify trends and student recruitment opportunities – Assist in preparing reports on marketing and recruitment activity – Provide regular recruitment and market-performance reports REQUIREMENTS – Language proficiency in either Bahasa Indonesia or Swahili/Kiswahili – Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or currently working toward completion – Experience in international education, marketing, recruitment, or sales – Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms – Ability to meet recruitment targets and travel when required – Knowledge of the Australian Higher Education sector preferred – Knowledge of Higher Education regulations including the ESOS Act and Threshold Standards desirable – Experience working with international students or multicultural communities desirable – CRM or student management system experience desirable – Skills in Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar design tools desirable – Fluency in a second language desirable – Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) required for employment – Ability to complete pre-employment screening and probity checks – Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work permit or visa WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role supports international student recruitment and helps prospective students access accurate information and guidance throughout the admissions process. Marketing Officers also contribute to strengthening institutional partnerships, supporting engagement activities, and promoting PIA across international markets.
