OVERVIEW The Student Recruitment Officer role at the Institute of Health and Management (IHM) focuses on guiding prospective students toward suitable education pathways in healthcare and community services. Based in Melbourne, this position serves as the first point of contact for both domestic and international applicants and plays a central role in supporting enrolment outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Engage with prospective students via phone, email, social media platforms, and website enquiries – Provide personalised advice on courses, career pathways, and available study options – Support domestic and international students throughout the enrolment and admissions process – Meet intake and enrolment targets while maintaining high standards of student service – Conduct campus tours and assist with student engagement activities and events – Maintain accurate student records and manage follow-up communications – Stay informed about Australian student visa regulations and compliance requirements – Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Academic, and Campus teams to ensure a seamless student experience REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline – Minimum of one year of experience in student recruitment, admissions, education consulting, or a similar role – Strong understanding of Australian student visa processes and international student requirements – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to build rapport and maintain effective stakeholder relationships – Target-driven mindset with a strong commitment to student success – Strong organisational and time management skills – Commitment to ethical, student-centred practices WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Recruitment Officers play a critical role in helping students make informed decisions about their education and future careers.
