About the Role: (Manager to provide) This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a passionate and student-focused team. You will lead the delivery of high-impact student engagement and leadership initiatives, support student-led programs and projects, and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to enhance the student experience. With a mix of people leadership, program management and strategic project work, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution while building valuable leadership experience. Position Key Duties · Lead and manage the Student Life Leadership team and budget to deliver engaging events, programs, and services across multiple campuses. · Design, implement, and continuously improve student leadership and engagement initiatives, monitoring outcomes and reporting on impact. · Recruit, supervise, and support students involved in leadership and volunteering programs. · Oversee student-led programs including VU Clubs and Societies, Volunteer programs, and the Student Consultative Group. · Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. · Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for senior management on student leadership activities and outcomes. · Support the Manager, Student Life & Leadership in strategic planning and day-to-day operations. About You: · Relevant degree or equivalent experience with at least 4 years in student engagement, program management, or related fields. · Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. · Strong skills in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. · Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and compliance with workplace policies including OHS and anti-discrimination.
