YOUR ROLE, HONESTLY The Student Experience & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the campus based implementation of JMC’s student experience framework, driving student belonging, engagement and early trimester retention. Reporting to the Student Experience, Engagement & Wellbeing Lead, and working in partnership with the Campus Operations Manager & Student Services team, this role brings the JMC student experience to life on campus through structured student voice governance, community engagement initiatives, student communications and proactive oversight of the student journey. The role plays a critical function in strengthening early student connection, identifying engagement risks and contributing to improved retention, satisfaction and consistency of experience across all campuses. WHAT YOU’LL DO Coordinate and administer the Student Voice Council including elections, meetings, agendas, and action tracking. Facilitate structured feedback loops between students and campus leadership and, maintain transparent records of student-raised themes and institutional responses and support leadership in closing the feedback loop with students. Contribute to term-based reporting on student sentiment and engagement themes. Assist with pulse surveys and early engagement feedback mechanisms. Escalate emerging student risk indicators appropriately and collaborate with Academic and Student Services teams to ensure early connection and support. Monitor participation rates and engagement trends and ensure activities are inclusive and aligned with institutional values. Act as a student experience lens within the campus environment. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Demonstrated commitment to improving student experience, engagement and belonging. Strong understanding of the link between early engagement, student satisfaction and retention. Experience coordinating events, student programs, clubs, societies, peer leadership or student representative bodies. Ability to manage multiple initiatives across a structured trimester cycle. Strong stakeholder engagement skills across students, academic teams and professional staff.
