OVERVIEW The Industry Liaison Officer at Bundamba State Secondary College is a community-facing role focused on strengthening connections between the school, industry, and training providers. Based in Bundamba, Brisbane, this position supports students to access vocational education pathways, work experience, and employment opportunities. The role combines relationship management, program coordination, and student engagement to support successful transitions beyond school. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Actively engage with industry and business to source School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities for prospective students. – Seek opportunities for student placement in industry, including work experience and related vocational programs. – Develop engagement activities that promote vocational education pathways. – Market the benefits of School Based Traineeships, Apprenticeships, and TAFE training as preferred career pathways for students. – Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and apprenticeship support agencies. – Provide regular updates to the Principal or Deputy Principal on program outcomes. – Identify and communicate issues that may impact the success of vocational and industry engagement programs. REQUIREMENTS – Relevant experience in vocational education, training, employment services, or industry engagement. – Strong understanding of School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships and senior secondary pathways. – Demonstrated experience coordinating student placements, work experience, or career development programs. – Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and industry stakeholders. – Strong organisational and administrative skills. – Effective written and verbal communication skills. – Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting positive student transition outcomes.
