OVERVIEW The Exams Operations Officer at the University of Wollongong plays a central role in delivering high-quality final examinations that support student success and academic integrity. This fixed-term, full-time position runs until 26 March 2027 and sits within a busy, policy-driven higher education environment. Reporting to the Exams Operations Manager, the role combines operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to ensure examinations are delivered smoothly, on time, and in line with university standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate in-person and online final exams across multiple venues. – Liaise with faculties, students, and stakeholders to resolve complex exam issues. – Assist with implementing reasonable adjustments for students with approved Access Plans, including scheduling and logistics. – Maintain and improve exam procedures and documentation. – Support exam systems and contribute to process improvements. – Occasionally supervise casual staff during peak periods. REQUIREMENTS – Strong organisational and communication skills. – Experience managing rosters and coordinating large-scale events. – Proven ability to work within policy frameworks and improve processes. – A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional service. – Empathy and professionalism when working with students, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams to support inclusive exam delivery.
