OVERVIEW Australian Training Institute (ATI) is seeking a Senior Student Support Officer to support students throughout their training journey while maintaining accurate and compliant student records. The role is based onsite at either the Albion (Brisbane) or Ipswich campus in Queensland, Australia. This position supports a range of nationally recognised training programs across security, first aid, business, and safety education. The role combines student support, enrolment administration, compliance reporting, and records management within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. The successful candidate will work across fee-for-service, government-funded, traineeship, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathways. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support students through onboarding, progress tracking, queries, and at-risk follow-up to help them complete their training – Process enrolments across fee-for-service, government-funded, traineeship, and RPL pathways – Verify prerequisite, residency, funding, and traineeship eligibility requirements – Provide administrative support for RPL and credit transfer processes, including invoices, enrolments, outcomes, and certificates – Maintain and verify student records, Unique Student Identifier (USI) information, and AVETMISS data in aXcelerate – Prepare monthly reporting for compliance audit and approval – Assist with managing relationships with government funding and traineeship bodies – Conduct onboarding, online-training, and visa or eligibility checks before course commencement – Support accurate records management and compliance processes within the training environment REQUIREMENTS – Student administration or enrolment experience within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – Understanding of VET enrolment and recognition pathways, including fee-for-service, government-funded programs, traineeships, RPL, and credit transfer – Awareness of AVETMISS data and reporting requirements with strong attention to accurate records management – Strong communication and problem-solving skills when working with diverse learners – Availability to work onsite at either the Albion (Brisbane) or Ipswich campus – Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia – Proficiency in aXcelerate and experience with USI processes is desirable – Experience with government funding programs and traineeships is desirable WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student support and accurate administration are essential to successful outcomes in vocational education and training.
