OVERVIEW The Senior Admissions Officer at Griffith University plays a pivotal role within the Domestic Admissions and Scholarships team, supporting students as they access higher education. Based primarily at the Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan), this continuing, full-time position contributes to admissions and pathway processes that prioritise equity, access, and excellence. The role operates in a collaborative, student-centred environment and supports thousands of applicants each year through complex admissions systems and partnerships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build strong relationships with academic, administrative, and external stakeholders – Manage domestic admissions via QTAC, UAC, and direct entry pathways – Oversee admissions through articulation and pathway arrangements – Promote Griffith University programs and pathways to prospective students – Provide accurate and timely admissions information to prospective students – Focus on improving the student experience through process enhancement and automation – Operate independently to resolve complex client issues using intricate systems – Negotiate and maintain domestic admission, articulation, and pathway agreements in alignment with University policies and strategic goals REQUIREMENTS – Experience in domestic admissions within the tertiary education sector – Good understanding of university admissions procedures and the UAC application process – Experience working with CRM systems and student databases – Excellent attention to detail in data entry and document verification procedures – Ability to meet critical deadlines in a high-volume environment – Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to assess complex admissions cases – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities – Proven commitment to customer service excellence – Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve results – Australian working rights WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Admissions professionals are often the first point of meaningful contact between students and a university, shaping access to education and future opportunities.
