Salary package: From $102,136 to $112,741 (HEW 6) pro rata, plus 17% employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave loading. Part-time (0.2 FTE), 2-year fixed-term role (with the potential to continue) This role is based in Coffs Harbour The Role This role provides high-level operational and administrative support for students undertaking placements across hospitals, clinics and clinical schools, with a particular focus on student wellbeing and supporting the establishment and ongoing operations of the Coffs Harbour Clinical School through strong administration set-up and ongoing relationship management. You will provide end-to-end operational support to Clinical School activities and advise the Head of Clinical School on relevant university policies, procedures and business processes. You will support students and clinical educators throughout placements, resolving routine matters and escalating issues where appropriate. You will lead the design and delivery of student orientation and induction programs in consultation with local leadership, and work closely with Curriculum and Discipline Leads, hospital partners and university colleagues to ensure student rotations and progression align with curriculum requirements. You will also coordinate student clinical assessments in accordance with course requirements and university policy. This role would suit someone seeking a part-time arrangement of around 3-4 hours per day over two days per week, potentially during school hours. Some of your key responsibilities include: In collaboration with the Clinical Leads, provide high level support for the coordination of clinical teaching and ensuring appropriate and safe clinical experience hours are maintained. Work with clinic and hospital staff to ensure teaching spaces, student support facilities and teaching materials are prepared, maintained and available for staff and students. Evaluate, monitor and provide feedback on student progress while on placement and escalate any areas of concern. Provide regular updates to the Course/Education support team lead/Education Services Delivery Manager on student activities to inform planning of clinical placement experiences. Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements to administrative systems, processes and procedures. Work collaboratively with other areas of the University (such as the Shared Services Centre) to identify and implement opportunities for students and improvements to processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement to enhance and streamline the student experience. Provide support to the relevant Faculty committees as required. Comply with relevant professional standards and codes of ethics and EEO and WHS regulations. About You You are a productive and highly organised professional, ideally with a background in health, education or clinical administration. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail enable you to effectively support students and staff in a dynamic teaching environment. You thrive on collaboration, building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and continuously seek opportunities to improve systems and processes. With a solid understanding of policy and procedure, you’re confident in providing advice, managing competing priorities and contributing to a positive student experience.
