OVERVIEW This role is designed for an experienced education counsellor seeking to advance their career within a long-established international education and migration consulting organization in Australia. Based in Sydney, the position sits within a growing firm with multiple offices nationwide and a strong reputation built over more than three decades. The role combines high-level student counselling, business development, and collaboration with internal leadership during a period of organizational expansion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide high-level, day-to-day education counselling and customer service to students and their parents – Work closely with the office manager on strategic planning and direction setting for the Sydney office – Demonstrate strong passion and engagement in the international education industry – Identify, build, and develop existing local and international networks – Assist with e-marketing and promotional activities to support business growth REQUIREMENTS – Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese – Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian education framework and student-related visa issues – Strong marketing awareness and openness to new approaches – Proven performance record within the international education or related industry – Demonstrated sales achievements and the ability to work effectively within a team – Minimum of one year working experience in a similar role – Understanding of the needs of on-shore students – High level of problem-solving and negotiation skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – Knowledge of social media platforms – Appropriate Australian or New Zealand work visa WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Education counsellors play a critical role in guiding students and families through complex education pathways and visa processes, directly influencing student outcomes and institutional relationships.
