Reference Number: 1611553 About the Role: We are seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to join the Faculty Office within Curtin University’s Faculty of Health Sciences. In this role, you will support a range of strategic quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing fieldwork and placement experiences for students across the Faculty. Work-integrated learning, including fieldwork and placements, is a key part of many Health Sciences courses, providing students with essential industry-based experience to support their development and future professional practice. This position plays an important role in strengthening these experiences through the coordination, implementation and evaluation of improvement initiatives. Working closely with the Dean of Learning and Teaching, you will help develop and implement processes, systems and resources that improve the quality of placement opportunities and student outcomes. You will also engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with expectations. This is a part time (0.6 FTE), fixed term role until December 2028 , with a salary range between $106,094 – $113,913 (G07) per annum, plus 17% superannuation . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to negotiate their working schedule (22.5 hours per week). Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate assigned projects from planning through to delivery, applying appropriate project management methodologies and systems to achieve defined outcomes Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify project deliverables and establish clear objectives, timelines and success measures Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes and resources that support student fieldwork and placement activities, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and expectations Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the successful planning, implementation and delivery of project outcomes Who we are looking for (selection criteria): A relevant tertiary qualification and significant relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and deliver projects independently while effectively engaging and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders Proven ability to manage competing priorities and ensure project outcomes are delivered on time and within budget Experience evaluating projects, including the collection, analysis and interpretation of both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise documentation and build effective working relationships across a range of audiences Desirable: Experience using WordPress to create, update and maintain web content Role Requirements: As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction Your Team: Faculty of Health Sciences Curtin University’s Faculty of Health Sciences is a vibrant and multidisciplinary community dedicated to improving health and wellbeing locally and globally.
