OVERVIEW The Student Services Officer (Surf Coast Campus) role at Christian College Geelong is a full-time, ongoing administrative position that plays a central role in the daily operations of the campus. Based at the Surf Coast campus and reporting to the Administration Team Leader, this position serves as a primary point of contact for students and contributes to a high standard of service across the College community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Act as a key point of contact for students, managing enquiries and providing frontline student services support – Support day-to-day campus operations as part of the College Administration team – Assist with student attendance processes and maintain accurate attendance records – Coordinate and manage first aid and sick bay responsibilities in line with school procedures – Provide initial support for student wellbeing concerns, including appropriate triaging with discretion and confidentiality – Maintain accurate student records, including medical and attendance information, using database systems such as COMPASS or similar – Contribute to delivering a high standard of customer service to students, staff, and families REQUIREMENTS – Demonstrated experience in a frontline administrative or student services role, including managing enquiries and delivering high-quality customer service – Ability to support student wellbeing by triaging concerns with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality – Experience maintaining accurate records using database systems such as COMPASS or similar – Current First Aid qualifications, including HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide CPR – Demonstrated ability to manage student health needs, administer basic first aid, and respond to medical incidents in line with duty of care requirements – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment – Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families – A warm, friendly, and professional approach – Genuine interest in supporting students and contributing to their wellbeing – Strong attention to detail – Reliability, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset – Current Working with Children Check and commitment to child safety standards and policies WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Services Officers are often the first and most consistent point of contact for students during the school day, making their role essential to student wellbeing and campus functioning.
