OVERVIEW The Future Student Officer (Pathways) role at the University of Adelaide is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term position based within the International and External Engagement Portfolio at the Adelaide CBD campus. The role focuses on supporting student recruitment initiatives across domestic and regional markets through outreach, events, and relationship-building. It is well suited to professionals who enjoy customer-facing work, collaboration, and frequent interaction with a wide range of stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist with coordinating student recruitment initiatives across domestic and regional markets – Represent the University at recruitment events – Implement outreach activities to support future student engagement – Build and maintain relationships with schools, pathway providers, and public avenues – Work closely with academic units, marketing teams, domestic admissions teams, and future student experience teams – Engage with external secondary school staff – Participate in local or national travel as required REQUIREMENTS – Experience coordinating student recruitment or marketing initiatives – Experience developing promotional materials and campaigns – Experience managing CRM systems and tracking engagement – Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including schools and community groups – Strong organisational skills – Strong time management skills – A current driver’s licence – Eligibility to work in Australia for the term of appointment – A current Working with Children Check, as required under relevant legislation WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Future student recruitment plays a critical role in shaping the sustainability and diversity of the higher education sector.
