OVERVIEW The Education Advisor – Allied Health role at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) is a permanent, part-time position supporting students enrolled in vocational education and training programs. Based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, this role suits allied health professionals looking to step into academia or transition from full-time industry practice. The position focuses on student guidance, assessment, and contribution to high-quality allied health education within a nationally recognised provider. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide academic guidance to VET students by responding to education and study enquiries – Support learners via the Study Assistance phone line and email – Assess written workbooks and course practice items within required timeframes and benchmark standards – Provide detailed, timely feedback on student-produced work – Participate in moderation, validation, and joint assessment activities – Contribute to the development and review of training materials – Participate in team meetings and collaborative activities – Maintain industry currency to support high-quality program delivery – Support new team members within the education team – Assist with initiatives that enhance the overall student learning experience REQUIREMENTS – Diploma or higher qualification in Allied Health Services – Degree-level qualifications in Allied Health Services or a related field (preferred) – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to obtain (costs covered by AIPC) – Minimum of two years of recent allied health experience (paid or voluntary) – Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) employee or state equivalent WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Education Advisors play a critical role in ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality academic support throughout their studies.
