OVERVIEW The Administrative Officer, Fees role at The University of Western Australia supports the delivery of accurate, timely, and student-focused fees services across the student lifecycle. Based within the Division of Student Life, this part-time (0.5 FTE) ongoing position contributes to a collaborative, service-driven environment that underpins a high-quality student experience. The role is ideal for experienced administrators who enjoy working with detailed information, systems, and cross-university stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the delivery of accurate, timely, and student-centred fees services across the University – Assist with the planning and coordination of the annual fees cycle, including non-standard teaching periods – Work closely with faculties and central teams to support fees-related processes – Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the fees function – Develop and maintain documentation to support fees processes and team knowledge – Build team capability within a collaborative and service-focused environment REQUIREMENTS – Substantial administrative experience or equivalent capability – Experience working in a complex service environment, ideally within tertiary education – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines – High level of accuracy when working with detailed information – Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative – Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team – Clear and professional communication skills, with an empathetic approach to customer service for students and staff – Confidence using digital tools including word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, and online systems – Willingness to build knowledge of fees legislation and student administration practices – Relevant rights to work in Australia WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Fees administration plays a critical role in ensuring students can progress through their studies with clarity and confidence.
