OVERVIEW The Global Learning Assistant role at The University of Western Australia supports the delivery of international and global learning initiatives that shape student mobility experiences. Based within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement, this position contributes to the University’s internationalisation strategy through strong administrative and student-facing support. It is a full-time, ongoing appointment in a collaborative and internationally focused environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide administrative support to the Global Learning team – Assist in arranging student support and engagement activities, including Pre-departure and Re-entry programs – Support the team in providing information to students, faculties, and partner institutions – Respond to enquiries about eligibility, credit requirements, financial requirements, financial support, application procedures, safety and security, and other student mobility-related issues REQUIREMENTS – Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency – Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level – Proficiency in a range of computing skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, and email – Well-developed organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines – Ability to work independently, show initiative, and work productively as part of a team WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International mobility programs rely on strong operational support to ensure students are well informed, prepared, and supported throughout their global learning journey. This role contributes directly to the effective delivery of exchange and study abroad programs, which are central to a university’s global engagement and student experience. By supporting both inbound and outbound students, the position helps translate institutional internationalisation strategies into meaningful outcomes.
