Your Opportunity As the Senior Advisor, Educational Technologies Configuration and Release Management you will: Lead the development and analysis of system enhancements and deployments with external Suppliers and internal development teams, liaising with stakeholders to develop requirements specifications, design documents, and testing plans. Lead the implementation of cyber and information security changes for educational technology systems aligning with TAFE Queensland policies. Manage the development and maintenance of educational technologies releases, including testing and documenting. This position reports to the Manager, Educational Technologies. This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, for 5 months unless otherwise determined. The position will be based at a TAFE Queensland campus and can be negotiated. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the Configuration and Release team, ensuring high performance and a positive work environment. Manage business impacts of system changes, conducting impact assessments to ensure risk mitigation, and alignment with organisational goals. Implement and maintain IT Service Management (ITSM) Change Management processes with a focus on minimising service disruptions while facilitating efficient implementation of changes. Manage ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes, ensuring the alignment of IT services with business needs. This includes incident management, problem management, change management, and service-level management. Lead the development of test strategies ensuring testing of system changes is conducted prior to release into production environments. Lead effective configuration management processes and the design, development, and maintenance of integrations for all educational technology solutions. Coordinate with Cyber Security and relevant teams to implement and maintain robust security controls and promote a cyber security culture for users of the educational technologies. Lead comprehensive Tier 3 technical support for all educational technologies by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving a broad range of software issues. Manage escalations with external suppliers and internal teams ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Lead projects to enhance educational technologies, developing specifications and liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Work collaboratively with stakeholders, sharing expert knowledge to improve processes, staff capability and enhance stakeholder communication. How you will be assessed The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities Demonstrated experience in leading a team of technical specialists, providing guidance, fostering a positive work environment, and working with various stakeholders to enhance engagement. Proven problem solving and analytical skills for developing business and technical specifications, assessing business impacts of system changes, and minimising unplanned downtime
