OVERVIEW This role supports the delivery of high-quality teacher education through the effective coordination of professional experience placements. Based at swinburne, the Professional Experience Liaison Officer works closely with schools, early childhood settings, students, and academic staff. The position combines education administration, relationship management, and practical support to ensure placements run smoothly and meet sector expectations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate professional experience placements for education students – Build and maintain partnerships with schools and early childhood settings – Support students and staff with placement-related enquiries – Maintain accurate placement records and documentation – Work collaboratively to deliver high-quality placement outcomes REQUIREMENTS – Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills – Excellent communication and organisational abilities – Knowledge of the school and/or early childhood sectors – Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment – Experience using student administration and placement systems – Collaborative and flexible approach to teamwork – Previous teaching experience within the Australian education sector – Qualification relevant to Early Childhood or Primary Education WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Professional experience placements are essential to preparing future educators for real-world practice.
