OVERVIEW The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Contracts Support Officer at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) plays a central role in enabling high-quality, compliant student placements across industry and community partners. Based at the Sunshine Coast campus in Sippy Downs, this full-time ongoing role supports the systems, contracts, and financial processes that underpin thousands of WIL experiences each year. Working within the Academic Support Unit, the position combines detailed administrative work with strong stakeholder engagement to ensure placements are seamless and impactful. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the end-to-end administration of WIL contracts and placement agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing – Maintain and monitor contract records, systems, and data to support reporting, compliance, and placement delivery – Partner with students, academics, and host organisations to provide responsive support and ensure smooth placement experiences – Coordinate placement-related financial processes – Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and administrative practices REQUIREMENTS – Experience in administrative support, ideally within a university or regulated environment – Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and responsive approach – Proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and compliance requirements – Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and data management – A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement – Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team – Experience supporting contracts, placements, or administrative systems (desirable) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Work Integrated Learning is a critical bridge between academic study and professional practice, particularly for institutions committed to graduate employability and industry engagement.
