OVERVIEW The Inclusion Support Advisor role at Southern Cross University sits within the Study Well team and focuses on inclusive learning and wellbeing support for students. The position supports the University’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and compliance with disability legislation by working closely with students and staff across the institution. It is a continuing, part-time opportunity based at regional and metropolitan campuses in New South Wales and Queensland. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Assess student learning needs and identify barriers to access and participation – Develop tailored learning access plans and recommend reasonable adjustments – Provide expert advice on disability inclusion, assistive technology, and inclusive education practices – Work collaboratively with students to support their academic success – Partner with academic and professional staff to facilitate equitable access and inclusive practices across the University REQUIREMENTS – A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification – Background and experience in allied health, special education, social welfare, mental health, occupational therapy, speech pathology, or a related field – Proven experience working in disability services – Familiarity with challenges and barriers faced by students with disability in higher education – Strong understanding of relevant disability legislation, policies, and guidelines in education – Strong problem-solving and judgement skills – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Inclusive education is central to student success and equity in higher education.
