OVERVIEW La Trobe University is seeking a Senior Student Recruitment Officer to join the Domestic Student Recruitment team at the Bundoora campus in Melbourne. This full-time continuing position focuses on implementing undergraduate student acquisition and conversion strategies through recruitment initiatives, school engagement, events, and outreach activities. The role requires strong relationship management, operational coordination, and the ability to represent the university effectively to prospective students and stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Contribute to the implementation of acquisition and conversion strategies for undergraduate recruitment. – Plan, coordinate, and deliver recruitment initiatives across schools, events, outreach activities, and stakeholder engagement. – Manage competing operational priorities and resolve issues arising in recruitment delivery. – Provide informed recommendations to support effective recruitment outcomes. – Build and maintain productive operational relationships with secondary schools, career practitioners, pathway providers, and internal stakeholders. – Ensure consistent, high-quality representation of the university. – Support a positive experience for prospective students. – Work collaboratively as part of the Domestic Student Recruitment team. – Participate in activities requiring travel, supported by a current Victorian driver’s license. REQUIREMENTS – A degree with subsequent relevant experience, preferably in marketing, business, or communications, or extensive relevant experience leading to specialist expertise or broad knowledge in marketing and sales. – An equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training, and/or experience may also be considered. – Recent experience providing course or career-related information, preferably to senior secondary students. – Knowledge of current senior secondary and tertiary entrance requirements and procedures. – Experience using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. – Current Victorian driver’s license. – Full working rights in Australia. – Ability to obtain and hold a valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check prior to commencement. – Submission of a cover letter addressing suitability for the role and an up-to-date resume.
