OVERVIEW The Work Integrated Learning Coordinator role at Southern Cross University supports large-scale student placement activity across health and related disciplines. Based in regional New South Wales, this position sits within a high-impact unit that connects students, academics, and industry partners to deliver compliant, meaningful, and professionally accredited placement experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry placement providers to create and support high quality placement opportunities – Coordinating large volumes of student placements across multiple disciplines while ensuring deadlines, compliance requirements and accreditation standards are met – Supporting students, academics and placement providers by resolving placement issues and providing responsive, solutions focused advice – Undertaking placement risk assessment and agreement processes to support safe and compliant learning environments – Maintaining accurate placement records, reporting and student data across systems and databases – Contributing to process improvements and streamlined ways of working within a fast paced and evolving WIL environment REQUIREMENTS – A relevant qualification and experience in a high-volume coordination, client service or stakeholder focused role – Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, academics and external partners – Experience interpreting policies, procedures or compliance requirements and applying them accurately in practice – Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and complex administrative processes – Confident using databases, digital systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Work Integrated Learning plays a critical role in preparing students for professional practice by bridging academic study with real-world experience.
