OVERVIEW The Principal eLearning Advisor role at The University of Queensland sits within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences and focuses on strengthening teaching and learning through effective use of educational technologies. This is a full-time, continuing position based at the Herston campus in Brisbane, working closely with academic staff and professional teams. The role supports high-quality online and blended learning and contributes to the University’s broader purpose of enabling connection, innovation, and opportunity through education. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide expert advice to academic staff on the effective use of eLearning and eAssessment tools to support engaging, high-quality online and blended learning experiences. – Design and deliver workshops, resources, and training that build capability in educational technologies and contemporary teaching practices. – Identify, evaluate, and promote innovative digital solutions that enhance student learning and improve teaching delivery. – Collaborate with stakeholders across the Faculty and central teams to coordinate eLearning projects. – Ensure seamless implementation of eLearning initiatives and support continuous improvement of digital learning practices. REQUIREMENTS – A degree with subsequent relevant experience in education, learning design, instructional design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. – Demonstrated experience supporting academic staff in the use of educational technologies and learning management systems. – Strong technical knowledge of established and emerging digital learning tools and platforms. – Proven ability to design and deliver training, workshops, and learning resources for diverse audiences. – Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging guidance. – Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams. – A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
