About the Role: We’re seeking an International Systems Manager to lead the strategy, optimisation and governance of VU’s international recruitment and admissions systems – a senior leadership opportunity for a systems expert who thrives at the intersection of technology, process improvement and international education. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across IT, compliance, data governance and international recruitment, taking ownership of the systems that support the international student lifecycle from enquiry through to enrolment. You’ll also be VU’s primary point of contact for system vendors, guiding enhancements and ensuring systems align with regulatory, governance and ethical AI requirements. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience managing complex enterprise systems, a strong understanding of international admissions, and the ability to influence and lead change in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading the development, optimisation and day-to-day administration of VU’s international admissions system, agent platform and CRM integrations, with full ownership of system performance and configuration Identifying and implementing process improvements, automation and integration opportunities to increase productivity, improve reporting and enhance the student and agent experience Providing expert advice on systems capability and performance insights, and leading testing, implementation and change management for system upgrades across impacted business areas Managing system vendor relationships, including contract renewals, tender processes, compliance performance and issue escalation Developing business cases for systems enhancements and leading their implementation in collaboration with recruitment, admissions, communications, IT and business intelligence teams Overseeing the administration, performance and integrity of international systems in line with best practice, University policy and regulatory frameworks (e.g. ESOS, privacy, data governance) Building and maintaining effective partnerships across VU Global, IT, Business Intelligence and other stakeholders, and using systems to produce dashboards and reports that support informed decision-making Position Details: Classification: HEP 8 Salary: $113,953 – $128,326 + 17% superannuation Employment Type: Full-time, continuing Hours per Week: 36.75 hours Location: Based at our City Campus, with flexible hybrid working arrangements including work-from-home options.
