OVERVIEW The Student Services Support Officer role at Open Access College is a temporary, part-time position within the South Australian Department of Education, based at the Marden campus in Adelaide. The role supports distance education for Reception to Year 12 students who are unable to attend school in person or access the full curriculum at their local school. This position runs from 11 May 2026 to 21 January 2027 and involves 25 hours per week under standard leave conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the educational programs of the College by contributing to the effective maintenance of enrolment processes. – Undertake accurate and timely data entry related to student enrolments. – Perform a range of computing, clerical, and administrative tasks that support enrolment processes. – Contribute to successful educational outcomes for students through effective administrative support. – Assist in the promotion of the College within the community through professional and responsive service. REQUIREMENTS – Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with staff, students, parents, caregivers, and community members. – Ability to work efficiently in a demanding, dynamic, and solution-focused environment, often under pressure. – Experience or transferable skills in using software related to student and staff management systems, such as Daymap or EMS. – Completion of Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) training. – A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to confirmation of appointment. – Submission of an application via Edujobs, including a combined document containing an expression of interest (maximum 500 words) and a curriculum vitae (maximum 500 words). – Inclusion of the names and contact details of three current referees, including one line manager.
