OVERVIEW The University of Sydney is seeking a Recruitment Officer to join the international recruitment team within Sydney Future Students. Based in Camperdown, Sydney NSW, this role supports recruitment activities across South Asia, the Middle East and Africa markets, helping attract prospective students to the university. The position involves working closely with regional managers and partners to coordinate recruitment initiatives, represent the university at events, and engage with prospective students and stakeholders. The role suits candidates with experience in higher education, international recruitment, and education marketing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Work with the Regional Manager and recruitment team to coordinate international recruitment activities – Assist with planning, reporting and delivery of regional recruitment initiatives – Represent the university at international events, education exhibitions and partner visits – Develop, prepare and deliver presentations to prospective students, parents, education agents, partners and stakeholders – Host campus walking tours for visiting students, parents and partners – Prepare reports, market updates and briefing materials to support recruitment planning – Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across recruitment systems – Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders – Support recruitment activities across South Asia, Middle East and Africa markets – Travel internationally when required REQUIREMENTS – Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience – Experience in international student recruitment or related education marketing activities – Understanding of higher education recruitment processes and international markets – Demonstrated experience preparing professional presentations and presenting to diverse audiences – Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment – Familiarity with Arabic is desirable – Ability and willingness to travel internationally is highly desirable – Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of employment – Ability to complete required pre-employment and background checks WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role contributes to the university’s international recruitment strategy by supporting engagement with prospective students and partners across key global markets.
