OVERVIEW The ECEC Pathway and Support Officer role at Tauondi Aboriginal Corporation focuses on strengthening Aboriginal participation in the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) workforce across South Australia. Based in Port Adelaide, this position combines community engagement, pathway development, and hands-on participant support within a culturally responsive framework. It is a community-facing role aligned with Tauondi’s commitment to empowering strong people and supporting strong communities through education and culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate and support delivery of Aboriginal ECEC Taster Programs across metropolitan, regional and remote South Australia. – Facilitate culturally responsive pathway, workforce readiness and engagement activities. – Support Aboriginal participants through mentoring, pathway guidance and engagement support. – Assist participants to transition into training, traineeships and employment opportunities. – Coordinate workshops, industry exposure activities and stakeholder engagement activities. – Support administration and coordination of the Aboriginal Professional Network. – Maintain participant records, reporting information and project documentation. – Build positive relationships with Aboriginal communities, employers, Registered Training Organisations and stakeholders. REQUIREMENTS – Certificate IV or higher qualification in Community Services, Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field. – Experience facilitating workshops, pathway programs or group learning activities. – Experience working with Aboriginal communities and participants using culturally responsive approaches. – Strong facilitation and participant engagement skills. – Ability to build positive stakeholder and community relationships. – Strong organisational and coordination skills. – Understanding of workforce pathways, mentoring and participant support approaches. – Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain. – National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain. – RRHAN-EC certification, or willingness to obtain. – Current driver’s licence.
