OVERVIEW The Creative and Performing Arts and Engineering Assistant is a part-time, permanent role based at Merici College in Braddon, Canberra, supporting students in Years 7 to 12 within an all-girls, IB-authorised secondary school. This position focuses on coordinating and supporting Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) and Engineering Studies programs through technical, administrative, and operational assistance. The start date is negotiable, and eligibility is limited to Australian citizens or permanent residents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the delivery of Creative and Performing Arts and Engineering Studies programs. – Coordinate a wide range of activities and events related to CAPA and Engineering. – Provide administrative support for both departments. – Manage and maintain resources and learning environments. – Deliver technical and workshop support for creative, performing arts, design, fabrication, and digital technology facilities. – Ensure students and staff have safe, well-resourced access to facilities. – Contribute to the effective day-to-day operation of the CAPA and Engineering departments. – Support the ongoing development of both departments. REQUIREMENTS – Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency. – Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. – Accreditation in accordance with the Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy. – Satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
