OVERVIEW Western Sydney University is seeking expressions of interest for a casual Placement Officer based at the Campbelltown Campus in Sydney NSW. This role supports the planning and delivery of student placement activities within the faculty while ensuring alignment with course requirements and partner expectations. The position involves administrative coordination, student support, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring placement processes across diverse settings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage the planning and delivery of student placement activities within the faculty – Coordinate placement arrangements across diverse settings – Maintain provider agreements and ensure compliance processes are completed – Support academic and professional staff with placement coordination activities – Act as a key point of contact for students regarding placement requirements and processes – Provide clear and accurate advice throughout the placement lifecycle – Assist students with administrative and compliance activities – Attend briefings and tutorials connected to placement operations – Maintain accurate records and reporting related to placement activities – Monitor placement progress and manage multiple concurrent cases – Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support effective coordination – Resolve operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement of placement systems and processes REQUIREMENTS – Relevant tertiary qualification or significant administrative experience – Demonstrated experience delivering high-level administrative services – Well-developed communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders – Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines – Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office and database systems – Strong organisational and time management skills – Ability to prioritise competing responsibilities effectively – Evidence of full-time working rights in Australia required at application WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Placement coordination plays an important role in connecting students with practical learning opportunities that support academic success and professional development.
