Reference: 1640520 About the Role: The Faculty of Business and Law is committed to delivering a positive, inclusive and engaging student experience across all stages of the student lifecycle. Through its centralised Faculty Student Engagement Portfolio, the Faculty supports students from transition and commencement through to progression, success and completion. As the Senior Student Experience Coordinator – Support and Retention, you will lead and coordinate initiatives that help students successfully transition into university, remain engaged in their studies and access support when they need it. Reporting to the Director, Student Engagement, this role has a strong focus on first-year experience, early-stage progression, retention strategies and support for students identified as at risk. You will work closely with Faculty Schools, professional staff, academic colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders to plan, deliver, monitor and report on student engagement and retention activities that improve outcomes for Faculty of Business and Law students. Your responsibilities will include: Implement strategic initiatives, procedures and projects designed to enhance student transition into the Faculty of Business and Law.; Effectively communicate the Faculty of Business and Law engagement initiatives and strategies to key stakeholders through presentations, meetings and documentation. Maintain highly effective relationships with key Faculty and University staff, Agents, Schools, and alumni in relation to the transition and retention of our students. Identify and develop proposals for major projects in consultation with the Director, Student Engagement, focused on the effective management of student support and engagement. Ensure that all policies and procedures relevant to the portfolio are regularly reviewed and updated, as necessary, with the opportunity for input from all key stakeholders. Undertake research and benchmarking of best practice, nationally and internationally, in relation to matters relevant to student transition, engagement and retention. Monitor and analyse student performance using data-driven tools to inform targeted interventions, maintain data integrity, and evaluate the impact of support initiatives. Lead course progression and sustainable projects to align to the Faculty Support for Students remit. Develop and communicate strategic initiatives and workflows that enhance student success, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and continuous improvement goals. Provide course advising and 1:1 study plan advice to current students to support student progression and informed decision-making. Run specific programs that explain and support students transitioning through complex degree structures and progression complexities. Facilitate student feedback channels to capture feedback and drive continuous improvements to student experience within the Faculty. Initiate and contribute to student experience projects that drive strategic priorities and student success outcomes. Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
