OVERVIEW Curtin University is seeking a Scholarships Advisor to support the administration of the Australian Government’s Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) program within Student Services. Based in Bentley, Perth WA, this role focuses on managing scholarship processes, supporting students undertaking mandatory unpaid placements, and ensuring accurate assessment, payment, and reporting activities. The position involves close collaboration with students, academic staff, government stakeholders, and sponsors in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) applications from assessment through to payment and reporting. – Provide accurate and timely advice to students, sponsors, and University staff. – Process CPP payments and financial transactions. – Monitor student eligibility, progression, and ongoing scholarship compliance. – Analyse data and prepare reports to support government and University reporting requirements. – Build positive relationships across the University and with external stakeholders. – Develop and apply a strong understanding of policies and eligibility requirements related to the CPP program. – Oversee the full CPP lifecycle, including assessment, outcomes, payments, and reporting. REQUIREMENTS – A degree, diploma with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. – Experience delivering high-quality customer service and managing complex enquiries. – Excellent written and verbal communication skills. – Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. – Excellent attention to detail. – Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. – Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. – Experience working with databases and high-volume data. – Current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this fixed-term role. – Willingness to undergo National Police Clearance and background, integrity, and reference checks. – Desirable: experience administering scholarship, sponsorship, or financial assistance programs. – Desirable: experience within the tertiary education sector. – Desirable: experience working with government-funded programs or external stakeholders.
