OVERVIEW The Student Services Administrator at Barrington College plays a central role in supporting the student experience and ensuring the effective delivery of student services across the Brisbane campus. This full-time position contributes to smooth administrative operations while serving as a key point of contact for students, staff, and external stakeholders. The role supports the college’s commitment to high-quality service delivery for a diverse student body. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Process student enrolments, applications, and admissions documentation accurately and within required timeframes – Provide administrative support to student services staff and trainers, including scheduling appointments, managing databases, and maintaining student records – Deliver general administrative and reception support – Respond to student enquiries regarding enrolment, fees, academic requirements, and college policies via phone, email, and in person – Assist with the coordination of student orientation programs and induction events – Prepare and maintain accurate administrative records, reports, and documentation in line with college policies and procedures – Support the organisation of student services events, workshops, and seminars – Liaise with academic departments and external organisations to support student progression and services – Assist with the collection and processing of student fees and payment information – Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information with professionalism and discretion REQUIREMENTS – Proven experience in a student services role, RTO or CRICOS provider, or an administrative support position – Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively – Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and external stakeholders – Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using student information systems or databases – Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and supporting student needs – High level of attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and record keeping – Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment – Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism – Relevant administrative or business qualification is desirable but not essential WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Services Administrators are often the first and most consistent point of contact for students throughout their academic journey.
