Student Life The Student Life Directorate delivers services and evidence-based programs for current students that aims to contribute to improved health and wellbeing; as well as supporting students to succeed in their higher education studies. The Directorate has three major teams focused on (1) Health and Wellbeing; (2) Students course advice, course progress and success; and (3) Student Experience and Student Voice. The Directorate focuses on taking a person-centred approach when engaging with students; collaboration across Schools and Directorates and continuous quality improvement to make a transformational and meaningful impact on students experience at University. The Student Hub team is responsible for providing quality and timely advice to students who attend in person and have general and course advice enquiries. The team also responds to escalated Tier 3 digital enquiries and provides support to Schools for relevant administrative processes related to the academic program and needs of students. Collaboration across all University student service points is a major requirement, as is the implementation of a seamless student experience strategy alongside excellent customer service standards. About the Opportunity The Student Service Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition for students between all of the University’s support services. This position is dedicated to providing an exceptional and accessible service, triaging enquiries, offering guidance, and facilitating connections to various resources and departments within the University. The Student Service Lead will be the first point of contact for students, providing a welcoming and supportive environment, anticipating student’s holistic needs and ensuring that they receive the support they need as seamlessly as possible. You will be familiar with the issues that impact on successful transition and academic success for students. This is an on-campus role and will work between our metro locations. This role requires the ability to move safely around the work location, transition between sitting and standing, and maintain standing positions for extended periods while adjusting posture as needed.
