OVERVIEW The Student Services Team Leader role at Acknowledge Education is a full-time leadership position based at the Darlinghurst campus in Sydney, with a hybrid arrangement allowing one day per week working from home. Reporting to the Student Services Manager, the role focuses on leading a team to deliver high-quality, student-centred support across the entire student journey. It sits at the intersection of service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement within a growing Australian education provider. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead and manage a team of Student Services Officers to deliver high-quality student support – Oversee the day-to-day operations of Student Services – Ensure timely, accurate and professional assistance for students – Support students across key lifecycle stages including orientation, enrolment, progression and graduation – Work closely with academic and operational stakeholders to deliver service excellence – Identify opportunities for process improvement within Student Services – Help create a positive, engaging and supportive student experience – Maintain the integrity and accuracy of student records – Monitor service performance and operational effectiveness – Support compliance requirements related to student administration – Use student feedback and data insights to enhance service delivery REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration or a related discipline – Demonstrated leadership experience within the education sector – Experience in student services, administration or student support functions – Proven experience leading, coaching and developing team members – Strong understanding of student administration processes and compliance requirements – Experience working with student management or student information systems – Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment – Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills – Strong organisational, planning and time management abilities – Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills – Ability to analyse information, identify trends and implement improvements – High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy – Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Experience in higher education or tertiary education environments (desirable) – Experience using student feedback and performance data to improve outcomes (desirable) – Knowledge of student lifecycle activities including orientation, enrolment, progression and graduation (desirable) – Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies (desirable) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Services Team Leaders play a critical role in shaping the overall student experience by ensuring that support services are reliable, compliant and student-focused.
