OVERVIEW The Enrolment Officer role at James Cook University (JCU) is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Townsville, Northern Queensland, supporting students at critical points in their academic journey. Working within a collaborative and service-focused team, the role centers on delivering accurate enrolment and progression advice while maintaining high-quality student records. This position offers exposure to university systems, policies, and stakeholder engagement within a values-driven institution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Respond to enrolment and progression enquiries with professionalism and accuracy – Provide clear, accurate and timely advice to students regarding enrolment and progression – Maintain high-quality student records across multiple systems – Support efficient enrolment processes – Contribute to continuous improvement of enrolment and progression services – Work collaboratively with Colleges and internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless student experience REQUIREMENTS – Strong customer service skills – Experience or capability to work in a high-volume environment – Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and legislation – Excellent organisational skills – Strong attention to detail – Confident communication skills – Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Enrolment Officers play a critical role in ensuring students can navigate complex administrative processes with confidence and clarity.
