OVERVIEW The Student Care and Success Advisor role focuses on delivering proactive, personalised case management for equity students within a university environment. Based at either the Melbourne or North Sydney campus, this full-time, fixed-term position supports students across key transition points in their academic journey. The role combines relational engagement with practical guidance to help students navigate systems, access services, and remain engaged in their studies at acu. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide proactive, personalised case management and coordinated support to equity students – Act as a consistent point of contact for students navigating university systems – Deliver relational support across the student lifecycle, from commencement through to placement – Engage students at key transition points including pre-census dates and assessment periods – Conduct proactive outreach to identify barriers to participation and academic progress – Connect students with appropriate academic and professional services REQUIREMENTS – Ability to provide personalised case management and student-focused support – Capacity to engage students from diverse backgrounds in a relational and proactive manner – Eligibility to complete mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks – Holding or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Check as required – Australian work rights appropriate to a fixed-term role WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role contributes directly to improving retention, confidence, and success for students who may face structural or personal barriers to participation.
