OVERVIEW The Manager, Transnational Education role at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) focuses on supporting and enhancing the delivery of offshore academic programs within a diverse and globally engaged university. Positioned within UTS International and reporting to the Manager, Offshore Growth, this role plays a central part in operational management, partner engagement, and quality assurance across the transnational education portfolio. The position is based at UTS’s Broadway campus in Sydney and operates within a complex international higher education environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Coordinate the delivery of offshore programs, ensuring effective day-to-day management and timely issue resolution across partner institutions – Support the review and continuous improvement of offshore programs by identifying risks and opportunities for operational enhancement – Build and maintain effective working relationships with offshore partners, agents, faculties, and internal stakeholders – Work collaboratively with faculties and central units to support program delivery, student transition to UTS, and student progression outcomes – Ensure offshore program activities align with UTS policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks REQUIREMENTS – Experience in international education or a related field, including involvement with offshore or transnational education programs – Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills in an international or cross-cultural context – Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs or projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders – Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail – Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in higher education, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge – Ability to communicate effectively across cultures and work productively with diverse teams WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Transnational education plays a significant role in extending the reach and impact of universities while providing students with access to high-quality education in diverse locations.
