OVERVIEW The Student Recruitment Officer at the Institute of Health & Management (IHM) in Brisbane plays a frontline role in guiding prospective students toward healthcare and human services education pathways. As a key point of contact, this position supports both domestic and international applicants by providing accurate course, enrolment, and visa-related guidance. The role combines student advising, sales-focused conversion activity, and cross-team collaboration within a values-driven academic environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Reach out to prospective students generated through social media campaigns, website enquiries, and phone enquiries, with the aim of converting eligible candidates into enrolments – Meet intake-specific enrolment targets and achieve additional incentives for each successful enrolment – Provide genuine, accurate advice to students to help them select courses aligned with their interests, educational background, and career aspirations – Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian immigration rules relating to student visas and associated visa categories – Apply detailed understanding of student visa conditions, including differences between onshore and offshore enrolment requirements – Meet students face-to-face on campus, conduct campus tours, and provide enrolment and study guidance REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field – At least two years of experience in a similar role supporting international students with course selection – Strong understanding of Australian student visa processes and immigration requirements – Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills – Target-driven mindset with a strong motivation to achieve results – Ability to deliver ethical, student-centred advice WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Recruitment Officers directly influence access to education by helping students navigate complex academic and visa-related decisions with confidence.
