OVERVIEW The Industry Engagement Officer at Australian Trade Training College Limited (ATTC) plays a central role in connecting Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools students with real employment opportunities. Based in Meadowbrook, Brisbane, this position focuses on building strong industry partnerships that translate training into apprenticeships, work placements, and jobs. It is a relationship-driven role suited to professionals who are motivated by outcomes and passionate about supporting career pathways. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and community stakeholders – Secure work placements, apprenticeships, and job opportunities for students – Proactively generate leads and expand employer and industry networks – Represent ATTC at industry events, schools, and networking opportunities – Match students with employers based on student skills and workforce needs – Track student placements and employment outcomes, ensuring strong engagement and follow-through – Promote ATTC programs and develop employment pathways aligned to industry demand REQUIREMENTS – Proven experience in business development, sales, recruitment, or stakeholder engagement – Strong ability to network, influence, and build lasting professional relationships – Highly proactive approach with a results-driven mindset – Excellent communication and negotiation skills – Demonstrated passion for helping people into employment or career pathways – Understanding of apprenticeships, training, or employment sectors (highly regarded) – Eligibility to work in Australia – Willingness to hold or obtain a current Working with Children Blue Card – Willingness to hold or obtain a National Police Check WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role directly supports the transition from education into employment by ensuring students have access to industry-relevant opportunities.
