OVERVIEW The Transnational Coursework Manager role at CQUniversity is a senior, strategic position focused on leading and expanding the University’s transnational education (TNE) coursework portfolio. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, the role sits within the International Directorate and is responsible for managing offshore and pathway partnerships while supporting the institution’s broader internationalisation goals. It combines commercial acumen, regulatory expertise, and collaborative leadership within the Australian higher education context. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the management and growth of CQUniversity’s transnational education coursework programs – Oversee international education partnerships, including offshore and pathway arrangements – Ensure compliance with Australian and international regulatory frameworks governing transnational education – Drive sustainable growth of transnational coursework programs – Enhance the experience of students studying through offshore and pathway arrangements – Strengthen CQUniversity’s global presence and international education profile – Work closely with internal stakeholders, offshore partners, and international education networks – Contribute to delivering high-quality academic pathways aligned with the University’s internationalisation ambitions and global reputation REQUIREMENTS – Postgraduate qualifications in marketing, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications, with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training – Demonstrated experience in the development of international business activity within the Higher Education and/or Vocational Education sectors – Comprehensive knowledge of Australian and international regulatory frameworks governing transnational education, such as TEQSA and ESOS, and related quality assurance standards – Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of marketing and international student recruitment and/or admissions practices – Comprehensive knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, CQUniversity’s products, courses, policies, and procedures – Understanding of issues relevant to the vocational training and higher education sector – Full-time work rights in Australia, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Transnational education is a key mechanism through which universities extend access to education beyond national borders while maintaining academic quality and compliance.
