OVERVIEW The ICT Business Partner (Student Services) role at the University of Sydney sits at the intersection of technology, student experience, and institutional change. Based within Digital Engagement, this position supports key student-facing services by shaping and coordinating ICT initiatives that directly impact wellbeing, admissions, payments, and student administration. It is an opportunity to work in a large, complex university environment where technology plays a central role in delivering teaching excellence and student success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build trusted relationships with Student Services stakeholders across the University – Capture, shape, and prioritise ICT demand before handover to technical teams – Support project delivery, service delivery, and stakeholder coordination activities – Develop communications, reporting, and insights to support decision-making – Help stakeholders navigate ambiguity and progress outcomes in a transitioning environment REQUIREMENTS – Experience in ICT engagement, business partnering, service delivery, or project coordination – Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills – Ability to translate business needs into clear ICT requirements and actions – Strong organisational skills and confidence managing competing priorities – A flexible, positive, and outcome-focused approach in complex environments – Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of employment WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student Services are at the heart of the university experience, and the systems that support them must be reliable, responsive, and continuously improving.
